So in preparation for taking photos of our new 180 setup. I decided to practice with the familys new SLR on my lionfish. Some of you may remember when i posted up some pics when i first bought him home.

However less ranting and more pics :)

SLR is the way to go. I play with mine all the time. There is so much to learn the camera store gave me coupons for classes! Great shots, I like the first one the best.

He is AWESOMENESS and so very young. I love that the eyespots are still on his pecs. More pics of him please :)

If you save a pic to your harddrive, unless a person removes the metadata (or messes with the photo so that it is mistakenly removed) you can right click on the details and get all their settings. It's good practice in learning photography.... if you know the limitations of your own camera.

Thanks guys. The first is my favorite, hence it being the top and my new background. I suppose i could get some more pictures :p It really beats uni assignments haha

The tank is only 620L, so he will outgrow it soon but for the moment he has enough space.

The camera is a Nikon d90, being a total noob I pretty much left it on default settings, except i turned auto focus off. The shots where just indoors(obviously) with normal lighting on.

I'll probably be using my amateur photo skills in my build below so stay tuned there for some more SLR fun :) As a matter of fact, there is some shots on our four footer if anyone is interested.
