I posted a few pictures of my new tank in my profile albums. Was wondering if anyone knew what those white parasite worms things are....

Sabellidae or Serpulidae if they're on the glass, or Nemertea based on their shape, could also be Sigalionidae if they're in mud or sand (I can't tell from your picture). Don't be surprised if you don't get a 100% positive ID on this hitchhiker, worms are not well studied. I think if you see a feeding fan (that it's feeding off what's in the water) you're fine, if you don't, it may be that this worm is a parasite.

Keep close eye on your inverts while you're trying to ID these guys. Worms occasionally go for snail or crabs as dinner.

    Well actually...

The worms seems pretty dead..they don't move and the few that I cleaned off of the filters were rock hard...but bigger ones I cleaned off with a knife had red stuff in them, i.e guts or dried blood. Who knows, I'll study a lil more but I'm sure it's a harmless parasite, if there is such a thing...
