Ok so i have a 10 gallon tank with a penguin 100 filter, Rio Nano Protein Skimmer(just ordered so not in yet), heater, 7 lbs of live rock, sand, 2 powerheads, 7 hermits, 1 turbo, 2 B&W False Perculas, 20 watts of flourescent lighting and a thermometer. I also have test kits, PH buffer, cycle for nitrates and ammonia and a hydrometer. My tank has now been running for 7 weeks and i am just wondering what else do i need? I was planning on getting another 20 watt light. Any thing else for corals and a BTA??

Looks good for softies but you might want ot rethink the BTA, tank is pretty small to be putting one of them in there......

really i have been looking around and it a lot of people and some articles have said that if inhabited by the clowns and correct lighting they can prosper in a nano...is that not true?? not trying to argue just getting mixed answers

I'm not sure if thats enough light for a bta. I had 48w of power compacts over my 12 gallon nano when I had my bta.. Plus I would waite closer to a year before getting bta....

I would agree. That tank is way to young for a bta. You should wait at least six to eight months with perfect water params before adding a bta. You could have a thriving bta in there just need optimal water and more light. Only thing to consider once these have been met is choosing the right one. Don't get it if it looks bad. Be patient.

Your tank is too new to be thinking about a BTA, wait around 6months to a year. You will also need atleast a 55w PC on that tank to keep a BTA.

I have a question, how big will that BTA get? I recently saw one and it was a foot across, which in my book is way to big for a tank that small. I didn't even mention light because of that but Geek is right your going to need more light and an older system.

Here is a real good article on BTA check it out...

a bta can get as big as your tank, if you insist on an anenome you will want to wait till the tank is atleast 6 months old and maybe consider a condy anenome, still very pretty but don't get nearly as big
