Please help a ID saltwater fish

    I found this fish on the beach in Miami. I am trying to figure out what it is.
    It is about 1-2" really thin, black color.

    Do you know what kind of temperament the fish has?
    Pricey?

    they get big, 300 gallons+ IMO

    I'm not even sure if they are legal to have. Also probably not reef safe.

    Please do us and yourself a favor and stop collecting unknown things from the wild and placing them in your tank. Not only is it illegal for you to collect as you are, but you should not put things into your tank if you don't know what there are.

    You'll need more like 1000+ gallons for this guy. Can grow to 90 cm (3 ft) long and weigh 18 kg (40lb).

    In Florida, you can collect if you have a fishing liscense.

    Not true. Laws vary by what you're collecting, where, and how.

    For both species he/she has already collected, a fishing license does not suffice.
