Please help a ID saltwater fish

    i dont see how its illegal to keep the fish in a tank if you have a large enough one to begin with being that you dont need a special license marker or anything but a fishing license to catch them? just sayen but i def wouldnt keep one being that they eat about anything that floats by them kinda like grouper fun to catch.

    It is absolutely illegal to catch a Triple Tail in Florida by any other method than a hook and line. We have a very progressive state when it comes to protecting our resources.With good reason.There are also several other species that are illegal to have.

    so if i caught a fish hook and line it would be legal to rehome per say? not trying to be a smart a"" just wondering. my dad and i fish and dive alot we always wondered about this kinda thing

    I would strongly caution you against catching your own fish for an aquarium. There are many parasites and diseases you could introduce to your tank. So a strict quarintine protocol would be in order.

    yea i have never taken a fish from the ocean that i wasnt goin to eat. i wouldnt put one in my tank due to the parasites and ect on them. thanks for the link my dad and i just get talken about it.
