    HELLO

I got a great deal today on a V2Skim protein skimmer but I dont know what
model it is because it had no labels. The only way I know what kind it is , is that I matched a picture from the web, but still cant find any detail specs.

It stands 25" tall with the collection cup attached and has a 6" dia. at the base.
I need to know what size pump to get

    Thanks

    25" is around 635mm so it's probably a V2Skim 1500

It works well once you have played around with the adjustment valve (to adjust the level of foam) near the top of the skimmer. I find if you dial the valve down so that the foam is at its lowest then adjust it so that it is about 1-2cm above that level it will produce dark skimmate after about an hour. Then the cup is nearly full and needs emptying after about 2-4 days depending on bioload, I also feed quite heavy 3-4 small feeds a day granules, flake and some defrosted mysis, brine shrimp and krill mixed.
