That is the funny part it is worse in a heavier flow. I actually trod uploading a video which you can see it heavily swaying. My phosphate reading is 0.25. I could be looking into things too much but seems to come when I switched from ocean nutrition seaweed sheets to omega one which breaks apart more easily and floats around tank. I have 2 double the amount of chempure blue in which should help the phosphate level but never gets lower. Or just can't accurately read this phosphate API test. Thank you all for help

You want less then 0.05 ppm.

Change up foods and rinse frozen. You'll probably need some GFO in one form or another.

If you do not have sensitive corals you can always try chemclean, works well but follow the directions to a T. You'll need to get that value down though.

You might try taking a sample to the lfs for phos test. Most people, including myself, usually have a very low phos reading when cyano is present. The API kit I have shows high phos all the time. I recommend Hanna for phos test.

First my tank has been running exactly one year. 75 gallon 29 gallon sump with cheato and just installed new skimmer (sca 302). I do use chemi pure blue. I have pair of clowns pair banghi cardinals 1 firefish and 1 green chromis and I small tang. Only some soft and LPS corals for now also trying to get alk up. I need to get alk tested at LPS Because not sure my seilfert test kit is accurate. Reading 5.6 now but calcium is 430 and nag is 1350. I will admit I have not been diligent with water changes lately. I will try all you are saying. But will leave slime remover to last resort I
