Just bought a new canister filter and we can't get the tubing to fit over the compression nuts on turn off/on valves.

Anybody have one of these? I would appreciate any help, my hands are seriously raw right now trying to force these on.

I had a canister filter once, and the lines didnt go over the compression nuts on that one, it went inside the fitting and the nuts held the tention on them to keep it from leaking.

I really like this filter, it seems to be doing a good job. After we replaced this one, we checked the box on our old and seen that it only did 75gallons an hour compared to the 300 this one does.
I am very happy with it. I know alot of people that dont like canisters but when we set up the tank we were doing things with the least money possible, and when we set it up we didnt leave room for a fuge. So we will keep the canister till whenever we move so we can make tank accesible for a fuge.
