I'm posting the most recent pic of my tank and a few of the things in it. For livestock I have 1
Sixline wrasse, 1 bangaii cardinal, and one flame hawkfish. I also have a few inverts but no shrimp.

For coral I have too much too list, it is an sps dominant with several Lps and a few softies. My main/favorite corals are a purple tip stag, frogspawn, Hollywood stunner chalice, a neon green seriatopora with a brown skeleton, a kryptonite candycane, and a bonsai I'm working on to get the color back.

My equipment is a 20 gallon sump, external overflow. 2 koralia ph's, 1 750gph, 1 550gph. Skimmer is a red sea Berlin triple pass in sump protein skimmer. I have chaeto in my sump along with purigen and some Xenia, lotsa pods. Return is a mag 5. I have an ato from autotopoff.com, the 3gal reservoir is outside of my tank. My lighting is a 120w dimmable led unit running at 35% blue 25% white. I can't go higher or my corals bleach but lower is fine. I can't think of any other equipment, If you ask I'll list.

I'm big into DIY and have made a canopy and painted my trim and stand black.

Id like you guys to tell me what to do differently with my tank, what I could change, anything. Please be as tough as possible. My tank is in no way perfect and I'm willing to do almost anything, I'm addicted no super nice comments like its fine how it is, I need some tough people lol. If you need more pics I'll take/post them. OK, aiming for perfection is a sure fire way to make yourself burn out and leave the hobby.

The best thing to do is make sure you do the basic things well and consistently. Consistency is your key to perfection. Make sure your perfection is not what you see in someone else's tank.

Each tank is its own ecosystem and has its own needs that must be met to strike that balance that gives you the best system you can have. Fancy equipment is not always the answer.

As such you have a lot of good equipment. You now need to let your system mature and grow on you.

I'm really liking your tank. I really don't see anything wrong at all.

If your system is doing well, than nothing is wrong. If I were you, I would upgrade the skimmer, and maybe add a controller, but you in no way need those.

I know, but there's always room for improvement right? I've been trying to be as consistent as possible and it does help, my corals color up and grow faster. My reservoir of saltwater in the garage has helped a ton. I guess I need to find what my tank will need, and that will come in time.. I'm really hoping I don't need to drop much more money on equipment, it's killing me. Thanks.

Thanks everyone, my tank is 8 months old.

If it means anything, I have man-part envy. I don't have a stand, an LED unit or a sump. I think you're doing well. Keep up your husbandry and things should take off in growth and look even better.

I can't upgrade the skimmer much more, it's rated for 25-250 gallons, Ive dialed it down a lot, but I would never use it on a reef tank larger than 75, it would be struggling. I have a rather light bioload of only 3 fish, so I dont think I would need much more anyways. I was going to get a controller, the apex, until I found that my lighting system is not running on 10v, so it isn't compatible. Maybe someday when I feel it would help me more.

You want tough? Clean up that electrical mess on the floor!

It's kinda hard to give criticism on a tank that you should be proud of,sorry.

I normally keep it tucked in the side, just wanted to show what I am working with lol. Whenever my dad is able to help me/ let me, I'm going to add a 10amp breaker and add a few outlets to the tank so I'm not catching anything on fire. I might cut out a hole in the wall on the right (the electrical panel is right there) so I can put my electric stuff in it and keep it hidden. Have to make it look nice some how lol.

Thanks, I am proud of it, just need to keep working towards improving it, just me being me lol.
