I think if you put a needle wheel pump and get rid of the stock pump, you will get better performance. That's what I have read when I ran a google search on modding the Jebo.

Step one: Locate nearest trash can
Step two: Insert Jebo into trash can
Step three: purchase an actual quality skimmer
Step four: Chalk this up to a lesson learned

I dont mean to sound rude or anything, but the best mod that you can do to that skimmer is to pick it up and through it in the garbage. The Jebo and the Odyssea are the same company, just with different names. I had the Odyssea PS160 once and it only lasted in my system for 3 days. Some ppl have made some mods to it and they claim it works great. You may need to google it.

thanks guys. I know I shouldnt have bought a skimer before i educated myself. I just kind of assumed they all worked you know? but its day 9 now and im getting some pretty good bubbles going into the cup. from what i can tell its functioning properly. i did shorten the inner tube which everyone seems to do. but its still filling my tank with bubbles. they say to give them up to 4 weeks to break out of this. i have a 50 gallon with 100 pounds of rock, a fuzzy dwarf lion, a maroon clown, and a chocolate chip starfish.

Yep!!! When I first got my setup, it came with a Jebo 180. I ran that piece of poopy for three months before I ended up ditching it for my ETSS. There are no mods you can do to it to make it better. I would consider running it on my 10g. But that is it.

If you have a sump, look at the following, in order of preference....

PM Bullet 1 (2 if you are going to upgrade to a larger tank)
ETSS Reef Devil (600XR if you are going to upgrade)
ASM 1-x (2 if you are going to upgrade)

BTW, if your going to have a reef set-up, I would get rid of the CC starfish, not reef safe. As far as the bubbles, just place a sponge/filter pad on the exit of the skimmer and that will take care of that problem.
