mine does that often, for not longer than one day. Give it two, then worry

Once, a delicate animal like that shows signs of stress or sickness, it is hard to bring them back. I would try to keep conditions as steady as possible and don't feed your anemone! If it is to make it out of its present condition, it will need to focus all of its energy on getting better it seems.
What are you water parameters like?
How much light do you have ?
What other inhabitants do you have?
These questions may be able to help us to figure out a better way...

ditto on a 100 gal fish only tank that would probably work. In my experience Anemone's, all but flower, need a lot of light....

    er anemones are a pain?

    HI,

many things will make a anemone barf, loose color and generally waste.
    Her's what ticks mine off.
KH changes fo some reason really bugs anemones, a little buffer and they all start puking their guts out.
NOX, or stain in the water, mine like clean water, so carbon is a must, another problem is they can give off toxic waste as do many softies so carbon needs to be changed any time someone is looking alittle off.
Many anemones have trouble with gas exchange it make sense when you think about it they need water flow in the right amount for that species.or they may drown or sufficate.
I try and corral mine with pieces of rock to prevent them from getting murderd by the return , pumps power heads, you get the picture.
Fianlly fo some reason possiable numerous reason, my anemones are off unless I have a host fish keeping them.
I asked some experts if the fish provide more than food to the anemones,
    and they said possiably.
Think about that fish poop where does it go>>>>
Constant movement of the clown fish may actually improve the gas exchange for the anemone.
The slime coat on the fish may have some un-discovered properties for the anemone many animals provide benafits to their host, we are just begining to question many of properties of critters in the sea.
