    Sorry if this is the wrong place...its my first time...i dont know how to get this thread somewhere else...

    Here are some pics...this is my first post so I hope I can figure this out...but heres the story...i came home after being gone for a couple hours to find that my featherduster lost its feathers and there is this white stringy stuff everywhere. the feathers were in the creavice of two rocks. and the wihite stringy stuff has no orgin...just anywhere and everywhere. also is this an aptasia?[​IMG] sorryi dont know how to put pics in cetain order or wirte below or beside them

    alo by the way the one pics is my feather duster 2 or 3 days ago and the other one a few pics down is one of today

    Does the stringy stuff kinda look like cob webs?I get that in my tank all the time,dont know what it is,maybe we can both learn something.

    kinda I guess...in some places...kinda looks like hair with bubbles allover it except it isnt hair and it isnt bubbles....

    the web is a type of worm that shoots that stuff out to collect particulate matter in the water

    Your awesome cuz I guess all of ours looks the exact same way as in the tank but they havent caused any probs in mine so im happy!

    im not sure about you feather duster. have you seen any part of his feathers anywhere in you tank. if not hes probably just hiding. try feeding with phyto later and see if he comes out.

    I don think its from a worm or a vermatoid snail (i think that what people refer to) I am worried that maybe it is somehow connectd to my feather dusters feathers coming off?? the strings kinds just float around...the last pic I just added is coming off a shell...

    I didnt know if maybe it was eggs of some sort or if my worm is dead
