Go with the 65 gallon! If you don't you'll regret it! Almost everyone starts off small and then upgrades! You can't beat the price. Craiglist is a good website for people who just want to get rid of their stuff. I got my 75 gallon with a whole lot of stuff including the stand and protein skimmer for $150.00. I think It was a good deal! And I think you got a good deal too. If not be patient! Craigslist will come though for you! You know the 3reef moto "take it slow" :)'

+1 you can always add a refugium and sump to the 65 to help create a more stable system. The 65 will give you a greater selection of fish to choose from and allow you more room for coral. The light system with the tank will be good for softies and LPS. You will be able to put low and middle light SPS in as long as they are on the top third of the rocks.
