I can't seem to find out what this is. A LFS said maybe Aiptasia but it looks nothing like what I see online. Others have said hydroids or moon jellyfish polyp's.

    Any help?

Might be aiptasia or some kind of worms. You could try a $5 peppermint shrimp (if the tank is cycled) and see if it goes at them.

Colonial hydroids. These are the type that can sting corals so it's best to nuke them.

You can use Kalkwasser, freshwater dips, cooking the rock, boiling the rock, etc. If the rock is in good shape other than the hydroids, I would make a kalkwasser paste, smear it over them, rinse with SALTWATER to remove the paste, and then put it back into your tank.

WOW! Def colonial hydroids.. nasty buggers! I have brown ones on a small rock.. I'd take these white ones anyday. The spread live clove polyps.. kinda like a veinsthat travel and dispurse all over your rock and they pop up..

Does a FW dip really kill them?

Yes. However, it has to be long enough to kill the rock too. In other words, you can't do the whole tank at once or you'll lose your biological filtration.

Any good ideas on a fish who can take care of these for me that can live with my Triggers, Lion, Grouper?
