    Cool I have a small rock with green zoas.. and hydroids.. how long can I dip them for it to be effective?

    If you have corals on the rock too, use the Kalk method. They are TOUGH!!! My fault, I should have used the word "Dip". I should have said freshwater "Soak". In other words, waaaay too long for your zoanthids.

    Ahh.. wont the kalk harm the zoas?

    Nope.....make a thick paste and just cover them all with it. Popsicle sticks make good spreaders. Then rinse it off (obviously keeping the rinse from moving the kalk over the zoanthids).

    I ha some brown ones when I started my tank but they went away on their own. I was really nervous though and thought I would have to nuke the LRs. Never had that many though. Good luck.

    pep shrimp worked wonders for me. pretty sure its an aptasia colony i had something like that, LFS talked me into joes juice but it would have taken forever, so i bought 2 pep shrimp and all gone.

    Definitely not aptasia. My pep shrimps never touched my brown hydroids.
