    I'm not sure what this is I just did a journey one day to three shops and picked up a few nice small frags.

    It looks like a leather because has small 3mm polyps with five fingers that pop out during the day, and it's flat like a leather when there retracted. Mostly skin color but the tips of the fingers are green glowing under 420nm.

    Purple on the bottom like coraline alge....... Leading me to think it's an encrusting leather????????????

    Gsp when closed are purple when these are close it looks like a leather with no polyps. Like tanned skin... Not as dark as youre thinking. Soft, skin colored, playable, purple under side....


    As I mentioned it's purple UNDER the leather like plate frag.
    I will see if I can get a pic of it retracted

    Green star polyps or GSP as stated earlier for short.

    Some star polyps do not have the purple flesh.

    My frag of them has a more pinkish mat then purple,but i've had them a couple other times with the dark coralline looking mats.

    Briareum is what I think it is after doing a little but of refinement. The only difference is that mine retract all the way making a smooth serface thanks guys!!!!
