To the extent it matters, they don't really look quite like picassos. I have a grade B and his markings are more eccentric. Here's a pic of my picasso.

They look like young semi-picassos to me. I have a pair of picassos and they looked a lot like that when I first got them. Since then their black markings have come in a lot, making the white markings more distinct.

The ones he has pictured only really have variations on the middle stripe, while picassos generally have it on the middle and the last one. I'm not saying they aren't picassos, but I would be suspicious if the seller is selling them as such.

I think it depends on the grade and breeder. Here is a picture of the semi picassos for sale on Petsolutions, and the tail stripe isn't different.

I'm not arguing with you, I just don't really know, so I'm just posting what I find on the internet. [IMG]

I just did a little google research and they do look more like picasso clowns then snowflake clowns. The snowflakes have more white coverage then these do. Just for example as far as prices go, I bought my ORA Picasso grade B for $60, so 4 for $200 isn't a terrible deal given IMO, they aren't as nice as the grade Bs, but what's really important is whether you like them or not. If you do, go for it.

I dont' really know either, I was just going from my personal experience. From what I get, the main differences between all the different types of clowns is the amount of stripe variation and the white coverage.

Yeah, it depends on the grade. I believe Grade A Picassos have all the white "stripes" touching and blending into one another. Grade B has two touching, and etc.

But there is so much variation in the Picassos depending on the breeder. When I was looking for mine, some Picassos looked barely different than normal clowns, and others were super fancy.

It seems the going rate for Grade Bs are around $50 a fish, so if you like those, go for it.
