I bought two mushroom covered rocks and after two weeks (and after coral rxing) I see two things growing ... One looks like a white poofy thing and the other some kind of green plant growing? Can anyone help me with ID? Should I be concerned? ImageUploadedByTapatalk1338175588.593883.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1338175614.150618.jpg

    Thanks in advance !

The white thing looks like a pineapple sponge. The macro algae is Halimeda.;)

white poofy looks like a pineapple sponge, no worries, you'll prob get a bloom of them, but they usually go away

greeny looks like a macro algae, I'd get rid of it while its easy, although I can't really tell for sure.

    EDIT; what Vinny said ;)

The Halimeda is a slow growing calcareous algae. Not invasive and kinda cool looking. Its also called money plant.;)

Halimedia is easy to remove when you want to. I like it too.

Yeah I thought it looked cool but things that grow that fast (in my experience ) aren't usually good! I feel better now thanks for the info.
