    Couldn't agree more.

My 80g acrylic is much clearer than my glass 29g in terms of color. I went with acrylic due to the non-brittleness factor. I always fear that little tremor that causes something to hit the wall of the tank.

The only thing I like about acyrlic tanks are rounded corners, etc..

go with glass, IMO, but make sure your 'scape is sturdy you dont want a rock hitting the glass. i gave a 100 acrylic and the scratches are making me insane

I really like my 110 and 120g acrylic tanks but on my 110 i have a couple of "squirrel" scratches that i can hardly feel with my finger but they dont bother me that much. I live in a apartment so i know i will be moving around for the next 1-2 years till i buy a place so having acrylic really helps me out with the moving factor. I think they are very crisp and clear and while the middle brace is sometimes annoying it really isnt that bad IME.

this all being said, i would go with a glass tank if its less then 100g in terms of worrying about clarity through the tank because the glass is not thick on that size tank.

But i think i will always stay with acrylic as i move up in aquarium size.

Ok, so I went to mt lfs and bought a 36g glass. I cant tolerate the thought of 1 scratch. H2p is in, filtration on and 2 new peices of lr. Ill add a peice or 2 of my existing lr over the next 2 weeks as the tank cycles with the new substrate.

    Go glass.

Acrylic is only better when it is new. Once used a bit the glass looks better because glass does not scratch like acrylic.

Many custom tank makers won't even do acrylic because it does degrade structurally over time, glass does not.
