    Unless the batteries in the tester are dead. :p

    EDIT: I have a Fluke pen tester that beeps when turned on...turns itself off after 3 minutes of no use, to keep the batteries alive. It lights up when hot, and will also beep if set to do so.

    Not to sound like a complete unsensitive a-h#$e but, I bet if you look at vehicle crash statistics more people have been saved by seatbelts than have died because of them. Sorry to hear about your friends accident (kind of sounds like a made up reason to not wear a seatbelt), but how do you know he was not unconscious from the accident? And it was that that led to his not being able to get out of the car?

    I did that because I had the gfci like mentioned and when it poped it shut everything else down. I figured this was the system would still work everything else in the event of one trip. I learned when the one gfce poped that it would shut the whole system down and it happened a couple times so I fixed the problem...
