Pleh!!!

Just a quick question, im picking up some snails today. Will my hermits kill the snails and take their shells? I currently have 10 hermits (red legged) and im thinking of adding 10 snails.

 

I have hermits and snails in the same aquarium and no turf wars yet BTW I am also struggling with an algea outbreak... my neighbor said that he struggle mightily in the first year of his take with algea and then just being patient and making small adjustments it all went away an he hasn't had any to speak of since.
