I am in the process of building a sump/fugue (30 gallon tank) for my 75 gallon aquarium. I have plexiglass more readily available than acrylic. Can I use plexiglass for my baffles or is acrylic a must? Any input is appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

    Plexiglass is acrylic.

A thicker baffle is much more stable. Glue as many pieces of plexi together as you can to make a thicker sheet.... well, not TOO many :)

Buy the .25 inch thick plexi. You can silicone them to the sides of the tank. Run a bead around the edges and the a bead on both sides at the seams to keep them in place.

Okay great. Thanks for the info. I'm on the road to a new build now. I will make a thread as I progress. Thanks again!

Heeeeey... I can't get that here at the "common" stores. That would be sweet.
