I do have a skimmer rated for a 300 G tank thats i think good enough, the refugium is a display refugium i'm taking advantage of its pods and rotifer production in the angler section and connecting it to the reef the collection of different macro algae that i want to feed my tang, should take care with the inverted photoperiod of the ph and co2 parameters, lots of thing going on beside just one issue here. The C2c in the refugium will help the Octopus 3000 skimmer and my 2 diablo pumps one for each tanks will give a lots of return to each tank so no i think i'm safe here. I have a wavebox in the reef plus 3 tunze 6095 powerhead for flow , two tunze 6055 in the refugium . i think i'm safe. 4 Razors LED for both tanks

Their's a C2C in both tanks, both have a herbie style drains and the fuge will have that extra pipe on the side just under the water level. How does that sound, going to the top of the reef tank. Power goes out water level goes down feed pipe goes dry yes?
