Now that sump is done. On to the plumbing. The tank came with these bulkheads for the return and the drain. What can I use to connect these to the PVC that I'll be running? They are 1" for the drain and 3/4" for the return.

Is the outside section of the bulkheads smooth or threaded? By outside, I mean the long part, but on the inner face of the tube.

Then there's adapters for that. They're slip x male thread, at any hardware store.

That's assuming you're definitely going PVC. If you wanna go with vinyl tubing, you can put in a male thread x female thread elbow (can't find one on the site, but they're definitely in the Lows near me, I have one on my system) to a barb adapter, also at any hardware store.

Either way, you want to use teflon tape, and wrap once around the male part nice and tight. Use a wrench to tighten the threaded pipe fittings all the way down, but not the bulkhead itself.
