Hi guys i got my 65g tank drilled and put an overflow box installed. i have a 90 degree elbow that is going to connect to 1 1/2 flex hose for pools. Should i conect it and use a clamp or should i use glue and connect.

From what I'm picturing, you'd use a hose clamp to secure the flex line, likely to a barbed fitting/connection/elbow, w/e you have.... (this is drain line, correct?) (All above, out of water?)

I'm no expert, but I'd still imagine solvent/glue is for solid PVC lines. Made any progress on connecting your system? :)

On my 65g dt and 40g breeder sump I used 1 inch drain and 3/4 return! That is what the aga tanks come with. Also the flex PVC you still glue to the fittings I think

Use a metal hose clamp. You don't need to use glue unless you are using regular hard PVC. Even then I only glue a couple pieces, the rest I made nice and snug. Also as suggested above, connect to a barbed fitting, that's what they are designed for.

I would never use metal around my tank I use all stainless steal from westmarine ( local boating store) and some of it still gets rusty. Just the salt and moisture in the air!!

I have a 250pc package of black zip ties. Those are probably one of the most invaluable tools I use. That's what I use also :D
