i finally set up my refuge with leakproof plumbing. the only problem is that the return compartment is always low and so the return pump is a little bit exposed. Is that normal? The temp is now even with my tank can I put my heater in my refuge and will it keep my main tank warm enough. How do u keep your main tank's water level even so that your refuge's water level doesn't drop. Mine evaps so fast. how can I add my LS I have for my refuge to my refuge while it's circulating.

i don't think i need a top off system. I filled my tank up to the very top and my refuge's return compartment which holds pump was still below pumps top. I don't get it so I lowered my pumps output to almost off but not quite. I don't think my overflow draws enough water to balance it w/ my rio 2100. Any suggestions?
