    1 more day till my first dose. no really dramatic changes in pod population and i cant see any one the poof they all seem to be swimming around but maybe there just deep in the poof

    i just dosed my tank for the first time yesterday but only a few came out of the poof anyone know why they werent in there

    i am continuing dosing pods. i also have some good and bad news. sixline wrasse decided as a christmas present he would jump so hes gone now. but on the bright side it will be easier to keeping my mandarin alive once i get him.

    Has your pod population gone up since getting them? Also, where'd you buy them from

    Best place to get pods is from a trusted local reefers sump. In a LFS, your going to pay $20+ for a bag of copepods. Just get a wad of macroalgae from a local reefer, I'm sure you can get it for free.

    or just buy some cheato and put it in the pod farm... then every week put a chunk in the DT for a few hours to let the pods out, then put the cheato back in the pod farm.

    unfortunatley no. i have been using the wrong kind of copepod that are called tiger pods so know im looking for normal ones that i can get

    matteuw1- i dont know of a single person that is within the state of massachuesetts that has a reef tank unfortunatley
    dingo- i keep my pod farm in the dark (i think the copepods like it like that) so i dont think chaeto would do well
