Pod in overflow

I have some unknown pods in my overflow. They are white and appear to have some type of feathers coming out of the end. My camera currently is down, but i found a pic on another forum when searching on google, below is the link. They look identical to that but are in my overflow.

If they're are feathers coming out of the end of it I would guess that they are feather dusters. Harmless filter feeders!

 

Those are scypha sponges, good to have

 

The link you posted shows, pineapple sponges. Harmless filter feeders, commonly found in areas of darkness, sumps, around flow.
