I just introduced some macros that contain pods to my pod devoid seahorse tank. Once pods are plentiful I will add seahorses. How quickly do they reproduce without predation?

My pods seem to reproduce at a faster rate when I'm listening to Jazz music.
A few nights every month, I will turn off the bright fuge light, turn on the jazz, and light some candles to set the mood for the pods. It seems to work well.

Hm. I read that they can reproduce at a rate of around 15 hatching eggs a day. Sounds pretty fast. I'm probably going to add a bottle of tiggers this week too.

Oh, and is there any truth to the idea that tiggers won't reproduce at warmer temperatures

it takes them awhile to grab hold but once they do they reproduce faster than you can believe. just give it time like everything else in this hobby.

I think he was saying pods in general. Once pods are happy and feel "at home", they'll go nuts. Of course, you could always kick it off by dosing a bottle of pods in the tank. But that's up to you. They're like diesel engines...they'll run like crazy once they get warmed up.

Thanks for the info. I'm hoping to see improvement in the population within a week or two.

How long would you expect them to take to settle?
