    TANK RAISED~COPEPODS- AMPHIPODS Culture~ 8 oz 350+ FS - eBay (item 230289376037 end time Sep-15-08 07:02:04 PDT)

I got my copepods from this guy on ebay...19 bux free shipping ....he's more realistic i think...+ he's the cheapest...

.he says theyre might be around 300 in there ...

    and he's probably right

i started a copepod culture with it....i couldnt see anything in there but a bunch of dirty looking water and a green plastic looking thing

but after a few days i decided to add some of that water to my tank...just like 1/4 of a cup (replaced the water in the culture with water from my tank)

after a few hours i notice copepods all over the glass of my tank...theyre everyfreaking where... so they are really in there its not fake

i also have a brine shrimp culture ....

i feed both cultures Vitamin/Amino acid liquid and live Phytoplankton i got from LFS

Same here reeron! Got lots of pods and I really freaked the first time I saw a live mysid, I also got some of those tiny brittle stars. My fuge is a regular smorgasboard. I'm in the planning stage for a 185, and the plan is to make my own live rock, use dry sand and add some chaeto to seed the pods when the time is right.

Seems like a better deal at pieceofthereef. The bottles say 100's. That could be 200. Shipping would still be about the same (I am presuming), so I would still go with POTR. Thanks for the suggestion though!!!!

I purchased a starter supply of pods from ebay and started my fuge. I now have a 5 gallon fuge with thousands of squirmy things in there. My problem is, I can't seem to get the pods from the fuge to the tanks :) I use a turkey baster, but it doesn't get many as they are quick escapers. I took some of the algae and took it quickly from the fuge and put it in my main, but couldn't tell how many I have. Most of my pods are down on the sand bed.

I am actually thinking of buying something for the 5 that will eat the pods for me so I can dismantle it, as it is too hard to get them out of there, and I have no way of getting it hooked to my aquapod aquariums
