At any given time, there is 40-50 amphipods in the little area, and now there is a bunch of these white dots there. I also noticed there were some large amphipods there, 1/4" in length. Im wondering if the white dots are egg sacks of the pods. There is always little blackish brownish dots running around there aswell. There is no fish in the tank, so there is no threat of anything eating them. My tank is literally over run with 1000's upon 1000's of pods.

I want one of them so bad but I want to make sure he has enough to eat so I'm going to wait until the tank is a little more mature. From the looks of your tank he would have plenty to eat.

A sixline would be a big help also...

or get both! - Looks like your tank would easily support both. ;)

The sixline didnt put a dent in the population, lol.

All I know is, I can more then likely successfully keep any wrasse or mandarin at the moment, hahahaha.

Ialso need to be thinking about something that can help on the chitton population.

I just read a great article on raising amphpods, and its pretty simple. Just have to have the right conditions which I have in my tank already.
