    IMO , if you have low nitrates, and are sustaining corals or inverts that utilise this nutrient, then Vodka dosing would not be ideal as it works against the best interest of the things you are keeping

    but if you have an excess of this nutrient beyond the needs of your tanks inhabitants, then some people may use this method as a way of staying within tolerance in a mixed reef tank
    not all people who Vodka dose target 0 - some utilise it to bring an elevated level, down to a level of acceptability

    in a tank full of SPS with levels of Nitrate or Phosphate that are above the generally accepted target ranges, then IMO, those are the people who may benefit most from Vodka dosing

    This hobby never ends! i love it lol. thanks for the info. I stopped and got some coralrx and im going to try that out next time i add new purchases :)
