Amen too that! its actually gotten a little worse and is on my legs and foot now but its starting to scab over on my arms so i think thats a good sign...and i couldnt care less if it covers my feet and legs...as long as it isnt on my arms and hands...i dont do handstands so i can stick my legs in my tank haha! that would be an amazing feat for me since i am 4 foot 11 and my tank is just over 5 feet tall hahaha:upgrin:

If you ever do manage to do a handstand and stick your legs in your aquarium, I want to see a pic lol. ;D Sounds like your arms are getting better though. Good luck to you.

I really wouldn't worry about putting your arm in the tank. Poison ivy doesn't spread from person to person, so I'm guessing it doesn't spread from person to fish. If you stuck the leaves in there and rubbed em all over the tank, then you might have a problem. But I think you'll be just fine. I'm sure putting your hands in after washing them or with lotion or whatever on would be muchhh worse.

i think tomorrow i may risk it because its scabbed over at least on my right arm and i really need to get my hands in there lol, i somehow knocked the pump off my protien skimmer today while i was topping off and its just laying at the bottom of my sump being useless haha. ill put my gloves on just to be safe and maybe wrap the rest of my arms in cling wrap or something hahaha! My dad actually told me tonight that saltwater is supposed to make it heal...then he said " but i wouldnt soak your arms in your tank" haha he must have read my mind, i think i will mix up some saltwater and soak my arms in a bowl of that and see how it works. i just wish it would go away...i am so @#$%ing itchy lol

I remember having poison ivy as a kid. I had to take some sort of bath with some prescription stuff from the doctor.

BTW, saltwater is one of the best treatments for poison ivy. I've taken baths in saltwater and soaked in it for 20 minutes per day. (I'm HIGHLY allergic to poison ivy, oak, sumac, etc).
