stop scratching and wash the arm. also run the arm in extremely hot water to stop the itching for a little while.

also you could go to the doctor they have pills that really do work. Don't settle for the creams that do nothing if you don't have too.

Thank god I was never bothered by that stuff. I remember purposely trying to get it with several of the other neighborhood kids so we could get a day or 2 off from school. Never worked for me, but some of the others must have gone to hades and back, covered head to toe with calamine lotion to try and stop the itch :jester:

I have it right now myself. What I'm going to suggest probably isn't going to be taken very well, but this is what I've done. Scratch the hell out of it until it is bleeding and oozing liquid. Then, wash the area(s) well with soap and water for at least 30 seconds. It will burn a little bit. Rinse off the lather. Dry the area(s). Now comes the really fun part. Take a cotton ball and pour some bleach on it. Get it really wet. Rub it all over the "raw" area(s). It will burn a little more than the soap does. Let it air dry. Itchiness all gone. Seriously. The minute of pain definitely outweighs the hours of itching. The bleached areas on my arms and legs haven't itched in over 24 hours. Actually healing quite well.

    You're nuts! haha

I was always quite partial to Ivy Dry. Haven't gotten it in a while though now that I think about it.

Wow,makes me glad i'm immune to it as well! Back in the day as a kid i mowed lawns, raked leaves, shoveled snow, whatever to earn extra money, but i also removed poison ivy for people due to me not getting it.It was kinda funny to have Joe from up the road call my parents to ask if i was allowed to get rid of some for him and then the word spread. ;D

Calamine lotion for topical treatment and an oral antihistamine. The pharmacist will tell you which one to use. Hope you feel better! :)
