Since my T-5 lighting System has no splash screen I will have to take it down weekly and clean salt creep off of the bulb's and reflector's. What would you recommend I polish the reflector's with?
I want something that will not dull them?
    Any Idea's?

I usually just rinse them in water until the salt is off in an attempt to not scratch them with the hard creep. They are already pretty reflective and most available polishes aren't intented to get wet from your tank with consideration that it very well might drip back into your tank.
I would just wash them, let them air dry and use an old T shirt to wipe off the water spots.
    Hope that helps a bit.
    Good Luck!

DIY splash shield with 1/8" thick plexi-glass and assorted fasteners and brackets as required!

I was going to do this to make a sort of "fixture" but it being in the hood... I had some inquiries on which pane took from the lights output. I heard glass robbed your tank from valuable par or spectrum and no so much for plexiglass. Then add in that your fans blowing across your tank wouldn't cool your bulbs so now you would have to add more fans just in that bulb compartment you just made. Also with adding in that heat wears bulbs faster and will cloud out a piece of plexi.
It would basically be like a DIY fixture but your canopy would be the housing... you'd need to escape that heat in the bulb compartment.
    Good one Bogie!
