    Trouble with phosphates, etc. ???

Try supplementing tank filtering system with Poly-Bio-Marine Polyfilters.

Once had a terrible Cu problem...but a few of these and a couple of weeks later, tank was clear of.

In Nano, I put about 1/3 of one in center rear chamber.

I put other pieces in filter socks on main drains from tank in 125.

Will turn different colors based on what it is primarily absorbing out of water column. Thus providing another "early warning" system if problem in tank.

    Blue Copper
    Red Iron
    Green Free Copper ions
    Brown Normal organic load
    Black Heavy organic load

    Poly-Filters
    * Multipurpose chemical filter media helps improve water quality and clarity
    * Highly absorbent pads remove ammonia, heavy metals, phosphate, and more
    * Cut to any size or shape to fit any pond filter

Highly absorbent chemical filter media pads quickly and efficiently remove impurities, medications, and phosphate from pond water. Simply cut to any size or shape to custom fit any pond filter. Rapidly improves water clarity and actively removes harmful organic and various inorganic waste buildup for several months. Changes color to indicate the pollutants being removed and when Poly Filter is exhausted. Will not leach pollutants upon saturation.

These things really do closely resemble that magical silver bullet we are all looking for in help maintaining tank. [IMG]

    Investigate.

Get one, and use as a visual "water tester," not just as a filtration device.

Get one...cut into thin strips...put couple in filter sock (or in water bottle with top cut off, so will restrict flow) on outflow either in tank or sump, and you will get a good additional test of water quality by checking now and then, using color code.

    Blue - Copper
    Red - Iron
    Green - Free Copper ions
    Brown - Normal organic load
    Black - Heavy organic load

Using clear bottle, you have a ready visual check and one more way to keep eye on water params...

I was looking for some replacements for my carbon cartridges and my LFS guy suggested it. I have a phosphate problem, and I know I do and have some GHA to prove it. My guys are spoiled to frozen food but they like to nibble it from the cube and once it's off the cube they won't eat it. I have been running it on my tanks just over 24 hours and I must say I am amazed. My GHA is browning already! AWESOME!!!

I have used them and probably will again, but not convinced it works that great yet.

It may be better for removing toxins we cannot test for.
This was one of 5 P4 removal tricks I have tried and did not get me to 0.

Even though my luck with this product wasn't spectacular, I do think it does some good, just not just what yet..
