My company is discarding huge rolls of polyester filter media: 90ft X 5ft X 1" that is for filtering air.
Question is, can I use it in my canister or wet/dry aquarium filters? It doesn't appear to have anything added to make it fell tacky.
Any one have any ideas? A couple of rolls of this will last forever!::

May be a good addition...worried about its sterile properties though!!! Don't want things being released into the water column or ultimately killing fish etc.

I would soak some of it in water for like 3 days with a powerhead for circulation, then test the water parms. If everyting seems ok then you might want to slowly add some of it. I think I know what your talking about blue? kindof brillo pad like? Hey If it works and you really have alot you might be sitting on a few sales!?
