Trying to repair a pump I don't want to spend $30 to replace a plastic impeller that's poorly designed imo. Thinking of using polyolefin heat shrink tubing to hold the pieces back together.

Heat-shrinkable sleeve - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    Hi Stepho

I cannot open the MSDS thats attached to Wikipedia
but with the information from the top thread, combined with the info on the MSDS
you should have enough information hopefully
your looking for any chemicals that might leach
some do at certain temperatures, and I have no idea what temp the inside of a water pump can reach?

Thanks Steve. I went about fixing it a different way that didn't require the use of the heat shrink, but forgot to update the thread.
