Ive been looking at an upside down looking umbrella growing on my live rock for about 2 weeks now and seems to be growing more and more very small amounts each day i. Well 2 days ago i noticed that under the actinics the inside of the upside down umbrella is glowing. I think i have my first coral ;D, and there are actually 3 of them but the others are small. dont know what color it is yet but i think its a polyp. it has a tube coming out of the rock and then the upside down umbrella. It shrinks into the rock sometimes. what is the best thing to keep the growth going?today i left myt actinics on all day because i have some algea covering my live rock and i want it to go away. I have read that frags like the blue light?

    i don't thank so.
does it look like it has feathers. the pic is really small so its hard to tell. if it looks like it has feather and a tube. its a feather duster, a worm that filter feeds

Sorry for my crude paint drawing but this is what it kind of what it looks like. the middle is yellow under actinics. not feathers, they arent wide.

its probably a button polyp or zoa, you shouldn't have to worry about it

probably just have to wait until it's bigger so we can see it then we can get you a positive ID on it but I wouldn't sweat it to much for now
