i have a green star and i just moved saturday. i also upgraded them to at bigger tank. i am just wondering if they are dead or not? how can i tell? they are sucked in and not coming out. there is no smell like if they were dead. so i dont know if they are or not.

    they are not dead IMO
if they have recently moved tanks, it sometimes takes a couple of days to adjust
but they are very hardy (I assume it the one in your avatar?)

    what lighting do you have?
what is the flow in your tank like?
sometimes when re arranging tanks a bit of sediment can get blown about and it settles on the polyps, blocking the pores a little - sometimes a bit extra flow at them for a brief period can clear that and get them out and about again
