I was woundering and in need of a new return pump from the sump. Kind of a stupid question but would a pond pump for waterfalls work as a return pump?? Im thinking no but would like to hear others opinions. They seem cheaper in my opinion so thats why i was asking on a tight budget.

I don't know how they would do with saltwater. Never tried it. If I were you I would go with something that is tried and true for salt.

I wouldn't because some pond pumps use copper bushings. That is the problem with them.
