I need some help dropping my Phosphate levels, and I stumbled across a bottle of "Pondcare Phos-out" in the local PetSmart clearance rack. It's a liquid phosphate remover that claims to remove phosphate from the water. For those that don't know, Pondcare is owned by Mars who also owns Rena, API, and Aquarian. I tend to trust API, and want to give this product a try, considering it was $5 and treats almost 1200 gallons of water. Has anyone tried this or have any ideas as to whether or not it'll work in a salt environment?

I found the MSDS sheet incase it'll help explain anything for those of you who are chemically adept.

I wouldn't trust it in my saltwater tank. If it wasn't made to use in a reef then I don't even think about it.
