I came home from work today tired as hell, and found my new member of the family tied around my filter intake. My parameters last night were good. I tested for ammonia first and then everything else.. undetectable. His gut was sliced open, so I think my CBS got him after he died, or he was the culprit, but I think it was the latter. Bender doesn't pay any mind to any of the fish, and he's well fed. My Royal gramma chased him away sometimes. The Blennie was eating, but he picked and was looking slim. Currently my fish are now on a garlic/food diet. Poor Bennie.. the Blennie.. boo..

Sad day! My friend always told me that every fish he named died...his current fish are nameless except for their species. Too much family love :(

We had a goby that was originally paired with our pistol shrimp, and he was in sad shape right after we put him in the water after acclimating. 3 days later he goes completely missing. One week later we find his remains attached to a rock after the CUC found him.

Some new fish just don't have it in them I suppose.

Yep! We took the plunge with a "Pinkbar" goby, which we had never even heard of. I wasn't too excited, because in the LFS he was really shy, hiding behind whatever he could. However, two days after we got him, he paired up with our pistol, and they've been together ever since. And he's not shy, his goby head is always poking out of something. We still can go a whole day without seeing them (today is one of those days), but they always pop up again somewhere else on the next day.

Sorry for the hijack there...back to Bennie the Blennie. :( RIP

(my pistol shrimp is poppin right now btw..."geez buddy what are you popping at?" were my last vocal words of the night, so far anyways)
