    Update 10-25-2010

Yesturday I did my monthly 20% water change and tests. Here are the results.

    spg 1.025 phosphate 0.25 ppm
    temp 78 calcium 420 ppm
    ph 8.4 magnesium 1220 ppm
    Alkalinity 179 ppm
    nitrite 0
    nitrate 10 ppm

Ok so all I have are softies and a leather, and the resurch I've done these parameters should be ok. But my question is if I go with a by weekly 10% water change would that help with the phosphates and nitrates? Thanks for the help.

    Update 1-21-2011

Ok so it's been three months since my last update. It's been six months since I set up this tank and things seem to be happy, with new little creatures showing up all the time. I haven't messed with it much other than to do feeding and water changes. With the holidays and hunting season and football season (go steelers!), it has been a mad house. So here are some recent pics to enjoy and I will get another update around real soon.
