pop eye clown

Clown fish eye is popped out ? what is it and how did he get it? ive had him for 2 months now.

 

go to the lfs and get some treatment for it, make sure one without copper if you have inverts

 

does he still have a chance? i am going to the pet store in 10 hours from now

 

ya he does, popeye is not that major and can easily be cured. most parasites or illnesses can

A common cause of pop eye is an issue with water parameters. Getting an ammonia level and nitrate would be a good idea.

Pop eye is usually a symptom of another problem and resolves when that stress is removed.

 

i do not have a ammonia tester

Nitrate is between 0-2 hard to tell with api tester

 

i bought some Methylene Blue i set up a separate tank and the LFS gave me high dose instructions, 48 drops per gallon and dip him for 15 minutes each day. i hope it works the GF will tweek if he dies!

 

Try some Melafix, research it first much better choice than methyene IMO. Do a water change if you do not have current ammonia and nitrate. And bulk up the diet with some garlic or selcon or equiv.

 

i did a 20% water change today , is store bought minced garlic ok to dip in?
