Well I was just looking at my tank and my Chalk Bass' eye is completely bulging out of his head. I have no idea what the heck happened but it looks pretty bad. I have no idea what to do for him either? It seriously looks like he has two small air bubbles in his eye. :-/

I don't know what you can do except give it good water and keep it fed. Pop eye can be a bacterial infection or the result of an injury. Good luck.

Pop eye is usually caused by a bacterial infection or injury, like said above. If you are into QTing, you could QT him and dose with some antibiotics. If you don't like to QT, you can either just keep the water really clean and hope for the best, or add some Melafix if you want. Sometimes Melafix works, sometimes it doesn't. It is reef safe.

Yeah its probably due to an injury. Hopefully the little guy makes it.

I had pop eye on my scott's fairy wrasse. It seems it was stress related, because it has completely gone away. Even after it started coming out of his hiding, the pop eye started to go away.

I fed my wrasse with pop eye garlic and selcon added to their limpet's reef buffet food.
