Make that refractometer your top priority. Then corals or fish.

I was actually thinking about getting one from there, didn't find it too important, but I will for sure be getting it now, thanks. Since I do dose, and check params every other day, would I be good with a monti? Looking to try new things and no lfs near me has anything like this, hoping to pick some cool stuff up here. And as for flow, is it good enough to do harder corals/nems in the futre? I think I saw that atleast 20x turn over is needed. And if I were to get the tang, what's the best way to move it to the larger tank? I can catch my other fish (clown and lion) but I don't know how with a fast fish like a tang, I'd rather avoid nets due to stress and spines getting stuck. Thanks for the help.

Make sure get a refractometer and not a hydrometer.

Remove everything from the tank first, then start removing water after making a low area in the sand. Get the water level down as close to the sand as possible. Catch the fish in the low area with watever method you choose.

There are some very fine mesh nets you can get that might do the trick with the tang. I have one and was able to successfully add my tang to my tank with it. Do not add shipping water to your tank ever if you can help it.

Ok I will try that. And will definantly get a refractometer, I had a hydrometer and it couldn't have been made worse.
