I have a bit of a mould problem in my room where my tank is. I've just had to wipe tons of it off the wall with bleach and water and now my room stinks of it.

Got the window wide open, but is it possible that the fumes from the bleach could harm (or even kill) my two Clownfish?

There is a posted article "out there" with the results from a test done relating to the vapor absorption of fumigation chemicals used when a house is tented to kill termites and the effect on marine life...

In short, unfiltered air being used in any air pump/skimmer increased absorption and effects were seen... covering the tanks and providing filtered air showed no ill effects...

If you can draw any parallel from this, Cl- is the active ingredient in bleach, minimizing its absorption in the tank is likely a good thing....can you absorb enough to hurt the clowns...no idea...too many factors at play...

A partial water change would not hurt along with fresh carbon....if you are worried....

I know paint fumes and paint overspray will wipe out a tank a tank in a hurry and cause all kinds of problems. Stupid contractors... :furious3:
Sorry brought back bad memories when my house needed work and wiped out my rays, puffer and lion. :(
I would suggest as above, cover your tank, try to get an air purifier in front of the tank, and you should be fine. I would be more worried about mold spores getting in the tank though.
