The tank is now 2 weeks old, did a water change last weekend. I got back from school today around 6pm, my mom has been turning on the lights so i am guessing the lights have been on for a good while for the past few days, Could that make a algae outrbreak? and also, its only 2 weeks old and someone told be its very common for algae to break out in new tanks and will just be there for a few days.

Without pictures it is hard to say but it is typical/common to have algae grow during the cycle of the tank. What are your paramaters and how are you cycling? IMPO you need to test often during the cycle so you know what is going on with your tank.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
It goes along with the cycle you can not test for Zoanthids21. And it rarely just last a couple of days. The system is not ready to handle the fish and the food you give them.
