when i think about it, i might not even need a drip on the intake. Maybe if i just used a pathetically slow and small water pump that would be good enough?? As im think the compactness of the sand would slow the water rate right down its self??
Slowest pump i can find is 400lph

I dont understand your Q. But if it helps, I T'ed off my return line so I could adapt a fitting to accept a R/O size line to connect to the coil denitrator. Luna

sorry, i'll try to explain better,

Its basically a dual reactor. What im asking is can this be used as a denitrator?

If the first chamber of the reactor was filled with sand (to harvest aerobic bacteria) and the 2nd chamber filled with deniballs (to harvest the anerobic bacteria) this combined with a slow flow - surely this would basically be a denitrator?

Well Deniballs are quite expensive, so maybe Seachems denitrate can be used instead? I could do with Tangster chipping in with his opinoin
